Here is another item that could be of interest to retro computer game fans. This is a composite video switcher and multiplexer unit. These units were typically used to take the outputs of security cameras and combine them into single image for staff to view live and simultaneously recording it for evidence.
However we used this device at live events to monitor multiple camera feeds on a single large screen prior to feeding our vision mixer.
The feature that will be of interest to retro computer game fans is that it can also be used to select and switch to a full screen image of any of the four inputs. For those people with a collection of retro machines it would save a lot of time plugging and unplugging systems. It would also reduce wear on hard to replace video outlet ports of older machines.
It is of a compatible width for 19" rack systems and is approximately 1U high. It has 4 composite video inputs and 2 composite video outputs.
It is still in good working condition and looks great cosmetically too. It is priced at £49, the price even includes delivery within the UK. I can send to some European locations too, but please ask for a quote first as this could be quite a high sum.
