The following list illustrates how donations can be spent:
- 12p protects someone from the potentially blinding disease,
River Blindness
- £17 restores the sight of an adult suffering from cataracts
- £27 restores the sight of a child suffering from cataracts
- £72 pays for the training of a mainstream teacher enabling them
to teach low vision or blind children
Restoring vision to people in developing countries not only reduces
suffering but also improves their opportunity to work their way out of
poverty.
